What is Tezos?

Tezos (XTZ) is the native cryptocurrency for the Tezos blockchain, which is an open-source Proof-of-Stake platform backed by a global community of validators, researchers, and builders.   • The Tezos blockchain was created by Arthur and Kathleen Breitman in 2014 as a “self-amending blockchain.”
